How would you define Scandinavian style?

I think it's very laid-back but at the same time sophisticated. It's uncomplicated and easy to wear, often minimalist inspired. Scandinavians are very good at lending their own twist to their look, often with layers, (as Scandi-weather can be unpredictable)... Scandinavian style now is all about being comfortable in elevated basics and athleisure with a twist. It gives us space to experiment as we have a lot of demands and demand a lot back from our clothes. I like the idea that it is possible for us to do everything we need to do, without losing our sense of style or self.

It looks like our cosy 'Hygge' days are over and have been replaced by a younger, cooler Scandinavian relative - Swedish Lagom. I would translate “hygge' as a momentary state of bliss while 'lagom' is a way of living. I was brought up in Sweden and are very familiar with the Lagom-lifestyle loosely translates as 'just the right amount', 'lagom' is thought to relate to being frugal, fair and creating balance something I try to live by... 'I think hygge captures a moment in time, whether that be a short break in the day or something you try and work into your life every day.

Lagom is an overarching concept behind your life in general. Rather than fitting a bit of lagom into your day, it's more about your approach to your life as a whole…
